After graduating from Fairfield University in 2021, Etienne joined Dr. Edouard Aboian’s lab at Yale University School of Medicine as a research assistant. He worked on a team of physicians and medical students to develop an automated pipeline for occlusion detection in angiograms of the lower limb. In January 2023, he joined the Laboratories for Computational Neuroimaging under the guidance of Drs. Hui Wang, and Yaël Balbastre to develop a domain-randomized pipeline for vessel segmentation in volumetric, high-resolution, Serial Section Optical Coherence Tomography images. In 2024, Etienne transitioned into his current role as a research machine learning engineer in Dr. Adrian Dalca’s lab, where he is studying and developing generative diffusion models and stochastic systems for image segmentation.
