Malte’s research focuses on developing algorithms for medical image analysis using artificial intelligence (AI). His work spans innovations in deep learning, computer vision, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) acquisition. He is particularly interested in segmentation and registration: segmentation delineates structures in an image, while registration spatially aligns images to one another. Ultimately, Malte is passionate about leveraging these techniques to advance clinically impactful applications.
