Lucas works on several projects both within the LCN broadly and the Laboratory for Ex vivo Modeling of Neuroanatomy (LEMoN). He is responsible for the acquisition and processing of high resolution ex-vivo data using 3T and 7T scanners. He also notably works with the Allen institute and other collaborators on creating a high level human brain atlas. This includes using multimodal registration and developing tools for processing and automated image segmentation, especially using machine learning techniques.
